This year we switched off holidays. We were in Santaquin with Dave's family for Thanksgiving and in Logan at my parents for Christmas. Traditionally for Christmas, my mom makes breakfast and Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Steve, Aunt Melissa and their family, come over to eat and play with our new Christmas stuff! This year, Dave and I went over to my mom's after we opened our gifts and opened up our gifts from them and gave them their gifts. After that, the rest of the family came over and we ate. We then showed grandma and grandpa what we bought with their Christmas money they gave us. My parents got us some clothes as well as money that we are using to take a trip next week. My brothers got some new games for their Wii, so we played those. The games got kind of competetive and my little cousin Austin who is about 7, lost at Mario Kart and threw a fit and started throwing stuff, so his family took off and it was pretty quiet after that. We went to the movie "Bedtime Stories" with Adam Sandler! That is a cute movie and I recommend it as a good family movie. Anyways, we had an awesome Christmas!! Hope you all did too!

Dad's not too excited about his picture being taken!!The day after Christmas, we went to Santaquin to celebrate with Dave's family. We opened gifts Friday night and watched the Phantom of the Opera. On Saturday, December 27, we went bowling and to dinner and to see the Festival of Lights in Spanish Fork.

This is the small red saucer incident...Bubba ran and jumped on his stomache onto the saucer, trying to be cool and bounced his chin off the ground!!! He layed in the snow for about 5 minutes!
Not too long after this tragedy, we packed up our stuff and ended the Christmas Eve fun!!
Every year, my side of the family, the Ponds' pick a day around Christmas time that works for everyone and they have a party at my parents house in River Heights. It's not a very huge family. My dad has 4 brothers who each have kids. Everyone comes from my dad's side of the family that is able to. We usually eat dinner, exchange gifts, play games like Grab Bags, and watch some football if any is on. My uncle Scott and his family came from Spanish Fork, my uncle Ryan and his family from Lehi, my uncle Steve and his family from Providence. And my cousin Aaron represented his family that is from California and couldn't make it out for the party. Of course Grandma and Grandpa came too! This year my mom cooked a really good homemade Chicken Cordon Bleu!! We ate and exhanged gifts. Everyone seems to have a good time and a lot of really good food! I love when my family gets together. Even though they may be disfunctional at times or a little loud, it wouldn't be Christmas without a Pond Family Christmas party! This is Brady, Aunt Andrea and Grandma!

Hopefully he had a good birthday. For his birthday Dave got to choose where we went to dinner. He chose Angie's. Then we went to the USU vs. Weber St. basketball game. After the game we went to my parents house to have Dave's favorite cake which is German Chocolate! I asked his boss to help me get someone to cover his late night shift so that we could celebrate his birthday. It turned out really nice and we even got to spend a couple hours together after the game. A couple weeks before his birthday, I secretively got a CD player installed in his truck. He had no idea and it was an awesome suprise he said. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE!!!

Saturday morning, November 1, Dave's dad and us woke up at 4:30a.m. and drove down to the Book Cliffs to look for a Big Horn Sheep. Dave drew out a tag for it this year. It's a once in a lifetime tag. Only about 4 other people draw out for this tag each year. The Book Cliffs are very pretty but get very old after a while. We drove around for hours looking for sheep. We saw about 14 that day but none that Dave wanted to shoot. He has until the end November to find one. He just went down again this weekend without me to look for one. I just talked to him on the phone and he said that he didn't find one that he wanted to shoot. Eventually, once he gets one, we will just end up mounting it and hanging it up in our house when we move back to Santaquin. I'll keep ya posted on the hunt.
