Dave's 25th Birthday!!

Today is Dave's birthday!! He turned 25!! Hopefully he had a good birthday. For his birthday Dave got to choose where we went to dinner. He chose Angie's. Then we went to the USU vs. Weber St. basketball game. After the game we went to my parents house to have Dave's favorite cake which is German Chocolate! I asked his boss to help me get someone to cover his late night shift so that we could celebrate his birthday. It turned out really nice and we even got to spend a couple hours together after the game. A couple weeks before his birthday, I secretively got a CD player installed in his truck. He had no idea and it was an awesome suprise he said. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE!!!

A BIGHORN SHEEP FINALLY!

So! Remember the once in a lifetime tag I told you about for the Rocky Mountain Bighorn sheep? Well, today, he finally shot it! When he gets home I'll have to have him tell the story of how he shot it and get some more pictures up. This is just what I got on my phone! Hopefully he takes it to his parents house because I don't know what we'd do with it in Logan. I talked to him on the phone after he got it and he sounded way happy. He went with his family and it sounded like he had a good time! He will probably come home tomorrow night. Anyways, thats all for now!

Halloween Weekend!

Dave and I didn't decide to dress up for Halloween until TWO DAYS before. I had to dress up for work and he wanted to dress up to go to visit his parents on Halloween night. We went all over the place it seemed like. There was a red wig with pony tails that I thought was way funny, so I decided to be Wendy from Wendy's. We got some overalls from the D.I. and that was that. I thought it'd be funny if Dave were to be the King from Burger King, Colonel Sanders from KFC or Ronald McDonald, but we had a hard time trying to put them together that fast. Instead, he just dressed up in some of my brother's old baseball uniforms and was a baseball player. He look really cute. After work on Halloween, we drove to Santaquin to see Dave's family for the weekend. They liked our costumes but then we just ended up going to bed and not even doing anything after that!! Saturday morning, November 1, Dave's dad and us woke up at 4:30a.m. and drove down to the Book Cliffs to look for a Big Horn Sheep. Dave drew out a tag for it this year. It's a once in a lifetime tag. Only about 4 other people draw out for this tag each year. The Book Cliffs are very pretty but get very old after a while. We drove around for hours looking for sheep. We saw about 14 that day but none that Dave wanted to shoot. He has until the end November to find one. He just went down again this weekend without me to look for one. I just talked to him on the phone and he said that he didn't find one that he wanted to shoot. Eventually, once he gets one, we will just end up mounting it and hanging it up in our house when we move back to Santaquin. I'll keep ya posted on the hunt.

Pumpkin Walk

This was an awesome day!! On October 25, 2008, we went to the Aggie vs. Fresno State football game, had dinner with my extended family, and went to the Pumpkin Walk in North Logan. The Aggies lost in the last couple of seconds of the game. :( My dad's two brothers Scott and Ryan, came to Logan for the weekend with their families. After the game, we all met up at my parents house for some spaghetti. My mom probably fed atleast 25 people that day! We even got grandpa Rodger to come to dinner and to the Pumpkin Walk!! That's a miracle. Dave has never been to it and it's been years since I have been to it. My brother Brady's girlfriend came with us too. She got to meet the whole crazy family. We had lots of fun and it was free. Nothing fun is free these days!! Hopefully we can go back next year, it would be a pretty fun tradition.
This picture below is of Dave and I at the Aggie Football game!!

Moving to Logan

On August 16, 2008 we packed up all of our things from Santaquin and moved into a little one bedroom apartment in Logan. We filled up both the car and the truck with our stuff. We love our apartment!! Almost right after we moved to Logan, we went to the demolition derby and did a couple of other fun things before Dave had to start school.

Dave started school at the end of August and I started working full-time at a place called Impact Payments. We have kept pretty busy since then. On the weekends we usually go watch my little brother play football and go watch the USU football team. They suck so the only reason we go is for something to do. I love being in Logan and being able to see some of my friends like Devon, Chelsie, Amy and Kacee. Dave likes Logan too but I can tell that he misses the farm and his family and all of his John Deere stuff that I made him leave behind!

Dave ready for his first day of school!! Don't worry, I packed up is pack pack with lots of snacks for his first day. Ignore the date on this picture and all the other ones, I forgot to change the date when I took the pictures.

Bees Games!

For the 24th of July we went to a Salt Lake Bees with my Mom, Dad and little brother, Bubba. The bees won and we got to see a really awesome fireworks show afterwards. I wish I would have taken some pictures of them. My mom's eyes are closed in this picture but it's the only one that I
had. We gotta preserve memories here!!!
We didn't get to see my family alot this summer because of our busy schedules, so this was a way fun night for us!

Mt. Timpanogos Temple

Over the summer we went to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple over by American Fork. We were going to go to the Provo temple because it's closer to Santaquin, but it was closed for cleaning. We had to wait to go through the temple for over an hour because so many people were there!! It's a GORGEOUS temple and reminds me a lot of the temple we were married in, the Bountiful Temple.

Fishin'

Over the 4th of July weekend in 2008 this year, we went on a fishing and camping trip with Dave's family to Fish Lake. We took a boat and our tents and headed out there. I'm not exactly sure where Fish Lake is, but it's FAR away from Santaquin and it was a long drive. We set up our tents in the dark and the next morning we went fishin. I'm pretty sure everyone caught something. I could a couple fish the 2 days that I was there. I don't think Dave caught any but he was too busy helping everyone get hooks and bait on their line. It was relaxing and we enjoyed it. The only bad thing about the whole trip was that my allergies were so bad and I couldn't breath at night. We did have running water at our campground, which is a girls only wish when camping. Good times.

Dave was good with helping all of us girls with the fish cuz we did NOT want to touch them. In this picture he's helping his sister McKell who is just a couple of years older than me.

Obviously I didn't get ready this day but this is one of the suckers that Dave helped me catch. We put him on that chain to hook to the boat while we were trolling around. Dave and Jesse told Kristen to lift up the chain while we were driving back to camp and going fast. She forgot to and we lost my fish:(

I don't exactly remember what Jesse is laughing about in this picture but I think it had something to do with Kristin not knowing that she had a fish on her line for like 10 minutes.

Our Honeymoon!!

I'm sorry that we're taking a step back in time. I'm trying to get all of our married life on our blog so please bear with me! We went on our honeymoon to San Diego California from May 31 to June 5, 2008. We stayed in a condo in Downtown San Diego. We were able to do so much stuff while we were there. We went to Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, the Wild Animal Park and all the beaches and shops you could think of! We also went to the San Diego Temple. We were so excited to go on our honeymoon. Both of our parents were so helpful in planning and paying for most of the honeymoon. We were very lucky! Hopefully we can go back someday soon.
Dave was so excited about our rental car! He drove it like a maniac too!!!

We spent a lot of time look for beaches and hanging out at the beaches!
La Jolla was our favorite!

There was a big diver training going on while we were taking this picture.

This is at La Jolla beach though! VERY PRETTY!

I think this picture is from when we went to see the dolphin show at sea world.
Shamu was my favorite though.

The San Diego Temple is BEAUTIFUL!!! I would love to go back to it someday!

This was our last night in San Diego and this is at Mission Beach. We got our awesome hoodies from some black markets by the beach. We were sad to leave but that night was awesome.

The State Fair

We went to the State Fair at the Salt Lake County Fair Grounds. We took about 12 of our Hampshire sheep and entered them into the Sheep show. The first day was the junior show, so Dave's two little sisters Kristin and Katelyn got to show all of the sheep that day and took 1st place in every single category!! They won a ton of money for it too! The second day was the open show which meant anyone of any age could show the sheep. All of us showed that day...Me, Dave, Jesse, McKell, Kristen and Katelyn. We got 1st place in one category and 3rd and 4th place in most of the others. It was fun hanging out with Dave's family at the state fair. My mom, dad and little brother Derek came for the open show so they could watch me be a farm girl!! ;) We walked away from the state fair with a bunch of money and a ton of ribbons! Hopefully next year we'll do even better!!! Just takin' a little break with Bubba and Katelyn.

This is the Ram "Hulk" that won 1st place in the open show!!

Me and Dave waiting for the judge to look at our sheepie!
My dad's so proud of his sheep groomin' little girl haha!
